- Preparation: Thoroughly prepare the nail, removing any dead skin and loose cuticle off and around the nail plate. Lightly buff the nail with a sponge buffer to remove any dirt and excess shine. Wipe any moisture from the nail using alcohol to prepare it for your gel application.
- Optional – Base: Apply base gel to the natural nail and cure using an UV and/or LED lamp.
- Super Gelip Bond: Wipe down Gelip with alcohol to prepare for application. Apply Super Gelip Bond Nail Gel to the Gelip only on the area where the Gelip will bond with the natural nail and apply the remaining gel from the brush to the base of the Gelip.
- Apply Gelip: Attach slightly above the cuticle area and flash cure, giving a full cure once all tips are applied. File edge to blend with the natural nail to provide a seamless look.
- Overlay: Sand surface with a sponge buffer and apply a layer of any KOKOIST base gel and cure using an UV and/or LED lamp to prepare the nail for color application.
- Color: Apply gel color of choice and cure using an UV and/or LED lamp.
- Top: Apply KOKOIST Top Coat Gel and cure using an UV and/or LED lamp.

Why is there pockets of bubbles after curing?
If air bubbles occurs after curing your gel, most of the time it would mean that the gel layer that's been applied is too thick. For opaque colours, or colours that has fuller coverage, always apply thin layers and cure each layer before piling on the next. This is to ensure that the light hits the entire layer and dries them before the next layer.
Is it necessary to use Base Coat/ Top Coat?
Gel base coat are designed to bond tightly with your nail plate and then act as an anchor to adhere your coloured gel polish.
Gel top coat (gloss or matte) is the final layer to protect and seal the colour. If you are using a non-wipe top, it will be a non-tacky, smooth glossy hard gel finish.
If you are using a wipe formula , you will need to use alcohol wipe to clean off the tackiness of the top coat.
Why is the base coat so sticky/ tacky?
All of your gel coats will feel tacky after curing. It’s the tackiness which allows each subsequent coat to stick.
